Bradford J. Lam, PLLC

Biography

Brad Lam was born in Abington, Pennsylvania in 1958 and raised in Elkins Park, a suburb of Philadelphia.  Brad graduated from Germantown Academy, located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania in 1976 (where he played on GA's first ever ice hockey teams) and from Lafayette College in 1980 with a degree in Economics.  Brad then worked for two years as the Treasurer's Assistant for a savings bank in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania where he learned extensively about corporate finance, investment and amortization under the auspices of Federal Home Loan Bank oversight and regulation.

With urging from his father, Robert Lam, who has served as a Pennsylvania Securities Commissioner for over 30 years and as its Chairman for the vast majority of that time, Brad took the logical step of pursuing his enthusiasim for the world of corporate finance to San Diego California in order to attend law school, graduating with honors in 1985.

Ever since, Brad has pursued the practice of law with an intense focus on all aspects of corporate finance commencing with serving the public sector as enforcement counsel to the California Department of Corporations and then with the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  In fact, Brad tried his first case -- a five day administrative hearing in Los Angeles before he had even received his bar exam results that would lead to his first bar admission in California.  Incidently, Brad secured a complete victory for the people of California in that case over vastly more experienced counsel for the petitioner.
